The National Higher Education Research Institute (IPPTN), Malaysia. IPPTN is hosted by Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang and is accountable to the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) and the Vice Chancellor, Universiti Sains Malaysia. IPPTN is providing coordination for the joint event.

The Right Livelihood College (RLC) is housed at the Centre for Policy and International Studies (CenPRIS), USM, Penang. The Right Livelihood College was established via a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Right Livelihood Award Foundation, based in Stockholm and Universiti Sains Malaysia, based in Penang on January 8, 2009.

The International Association of Universities (IAU) founded in 1950, is the UNESCO-based worldwide association of higher education institutions.
